A Timeless Classic
Kanapitsa was once the "poster child" of Skiathos tourism, and it’s easy to see why. This long, narrow strip of sand offers some of the most spectacular views of the Aegean and the nearby islets. It is a beach with a more "grown-up" feel, perfect for those who appreciate a quiet morning swim and professional water sports facilities.
Water Sports & Scenery
The beach is world-famous for its **Water Sports School**, where you can try everything from water-skiing to giant inflatable tubes. Because the bay is quite deep and long, it's also a favorite spot for sailing enthusiasts. The water here is consistently crystal clear, with a deep blue hue that differs from the shallower turquoise beaches nearby.
Lining the beach are beautiful villas and a couple of traditional tavernas that have been serving fresh fish for decades. The atmosphere is calm, sophisticated, and very Greek.

Šetnja obalom tokom zalaska sunca ovde je jedan od najlepših doživljaja na poluostrvu Kalamaki.
How to Reach
Get off at **Stop 12**. While Tzaneria is to the left, **Kanapitsa** is to the right. It’s a pleasant 5-7 minute walk down the road. Alternatively, you can take the **water taxi** from Skiathos Town; it stops right at the Kanapitsa pier, making for a very elegant arrival.

💡 Insider Tip
Kanapitsa is one of the few beaches on the south coast where you can enjoy a really long walk along the shoreline. For a great experience, rent a boat here and head out early to the small "hidden" coves that are only accessible by sea between here and Stop 16.
Emergency Info: Taxis from town reach Stop 12 in about 15 minutes. The nearest pharmacy is located just before the town entrance.
